As developing countries, China and African nations have similar historical experiences, similar tasks ahead to boost development and common strategic interests. These similarities shape China and Africa into a brotherly community, says an article in the People's Daily. Excerpts:

China's investments and technological assistance to Africa play a very important role in the development of African countries. Mutual respect and win-win cooperation are the characteristics of the Sino-African relations.

As China tries its best to develop itself, it has never stopped helping African countries as much as possible. President Xi Jinping's State visit to Africa demonstrates that the new Chinese leaders attach great importance to the relations with the continent.

Promoting the balanced development of Sino-African relations in an all-round way, which will bring benefits to both Chinese and African people, are important parts of China's diplomatic policies.

After the new strategic partnerships are established, Sino-African relations will enter a golden stage of development.

China will also promote the international community's input in Africa in the future.

There are five key areas for the development of Sino-African relations: financing, assistance, to develop Africa as a whole, people-to-people communications, and the establishment of a security environment for Africa's development.

These five aspects are crucial for Africa's future development and will enrich the contents of the new strategic partnerships between China and the continent as well as lay a solid foundation for the development of relations in the future.

China will always be a reliable partner, friend and brother for African countries. Xi's visit opens a new chapter for China-Africa relations.
