To solve the graduate employment problem, authorities should adjust the structure of industry and provide a fairer employment environment, according to Beijing Youth Daily (excerpts below).
President Xi Jinping talked on Tuesday to college graduates about the employment situation in Tianjin. Xi said the key to solving unemployment is to make a bigger economic development pie.
There will be almost 7 million college graduates this year, the largest number since the establishment of New China. But recruitment nationwide has dropped 15 percent on last year.
Youth employment is crucial to social stability and development.
The authorities should adjust the structure of industry to provide more working positions to graduates, and more important, create a fairer employment environment.
