Children do not get enough outdoor exercise, a report says, according to People's Daily (excerpts below).
According to a recent survey in Shanghai, 48.5 percent of children play outdoors for less than 3 hours a week, only half of the recommended 7 hours.
These children have no playmates but they do have iPads and smart phones; they rarely see nature except through TV screens. Experts have warned about "indoor solidarity" and "nature deficit disorder".
To change this it is necessary to let our children go to play. They need to see and embrace the glory of nature.
