Government approvals need to be further simplified and regulated, said an article in the People's Daily (excerpts below).
A recent survey by China Youth Daily found that 83.2 percent of 6,756 people surveyed complained that government approval procedures are too complicated.
About 59 percent complained about what they saw as the poor attitude of civil servants.
The root problem about government approval lies in unlimited power.
One objective of the ongoing reform is to limit such power, to make it possible to simplify and regulate government approvals. We look forward to the actual results.
