The event draws many golf and peace lovers each year, including foreign diplomats and entrepreneurs. This year’s event attracted diplomats from Barbados and Grenada embassies in China and former NBA player James Donaldson.
Tunisian Ambassador to China Tarek Amri said at the award ceremony that he was impressed by the gathering and the people.
Li Ruohong, chairman of the China World Peace Foundation, applauded the diverse participation in the event.
An artwork donation to He Yuan Museum, founded by Li, was also held at the award ceremony.
The event, which has the theme of "promoting peace through sport, promoting cooperation through commonwealth and jointly building a global city," was co-sponsored by the Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau, Beijing Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation and the China World Peace Foundation.
