Hello to everyone in China! I am Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark, and I am ranked No 8 in the world.
All my fans in China know that Beijing is a very special place for me because it was here that I realized my dream to be ranked the world No 1 after winning the China Open in 2010. I was only 20 years old and everything happened so quickly that it's difficult to describe how it feels to have a dream come true at such a young age.
Last year I dropped down from the top ranking to No 10 by the end of the year, which drew some negative comments from the media. But I learned a positive lesson from that.
Being No 1 for 67 weeks from 2010 to 2012, I got so much attention. If I lost a match, it seemed like a disaster in the media reports. I think I just reached the point where I had to calm down a little bit mentally to make me really hungry again.
Fame sometimes brings unexpected attention about your private life, especially when my romance with Rory (McIlroy ) went public. He's one of the best and most famous golfers in the world, and honestly, it's a challenge to keep the relationship going as we both have busy schedules.
I don't really pay attention to what the media says about us. I think it's just part of the job. If you do well and you are popular, you will be the target of gossip. Despite the scheduling issues, we've made our relationship work so far. Hopefully, we can keep making it work.
However, I don't know if I would share it or not if I get engaged. It's not really anything that I've been thinking about, to be honest. But I will ask Novak (Djokovic) for an invitation to his wedding if his engagement is true. Last year I was told he was engaged as well, but when I went to ask him about it, he said he was not. So I need to confirm with the right source.
Naturally, golf has become one of my favorite hobby sports. It's fun to play, and I really enjoy it with Rory. We played a par-3 course a few months ago and I made 6 pars so I was pretty proud of myself.
Apart from sports, I also like baking. I am a big fan of chocolate chip cookies so I learned how to make them. My family loves sweets, so when I make cookies they disappear quickly!
Another secret about me is I sometimes carry a teddy bear in my luggage when I'm traveling around the world. Sleeping with my teddy bear helps me relax.
