Hurdler Liu Xiang is unlikely to participate in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, because of an injury, Liu's coach said.
The Olympic champion hurdler has entered specialized recovering training. "But it has just started, and there is still some time for him to come back the playing field. He's unlikely to participate in the Asian Games," Liu's coach, Sun Haiping, was quoted by China Sports Daily as saying.
Sun said Liu's recovery training program was divided into three phases, and Liu has just started the first phase.
The 17th Asian Games will take place from Sept 19 to Oct 4.
