Organizers of the 2015 Sudirman Cup BWF World Mixed Team Championships released the mascot, emblem and slogan for the upcoming competition on Friday as the host city of Dongguan, Guangdong province, celebrated the 100-day countdown of the event.

The mascot, named Guanxiang Baby, represents the city image of Dongguan, the organizer said.

The emblem is a flying badminton shuttlecock, while the slogan is, "Cheer for Badminton, Shine with Dongguan". According to the organizers, Dongguan is a traditional manufacturing city in the Pearl River Delta that has developed growing interests in badminton.

The city will also hold a cerebration on Friday evening, marking the 100-day countdown to the event.

According to Lu Hanbiao, executive general secretary of the event's organizing committee, athletes from 37 countries and regions have been confirmed to participate in the competition, which is scheduled to open on May 10-17.
