Ten new songs composed for Beijing's 2022 Olympic Winter Games bidding campaign were released in Beijing on Wednesday.
The new songs, selected from a pool of more than 100, were released by the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games Bid Committee and the Beijing Olympic City Development Association in the capital.
Movie Star Jackie Chan sings one of the songs "Wake Up the Winter".
Jiang Xiaoyu, deputy head of the association, said that music is one of the important means to spread Olympic spirit.
"Olympic songs composed for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, including Beijing Welcomes You and You and Me. have become popular in China and even the world," Jiang said, adding that the music is an asset to inspire Olympic spirit.
A total of 24 musicians created 10 songs and 70 percent of them were born after 1980s.
