6. Night time is party time
For the heart of action, go to Patong area which is transformed into a sea of neon lights in the night. There are also night markets where you can haggle with petty traders selling handicrafts, colorful summer wears, toys, souvenirs and such, until the wee hours of the morning.
7. Islands hopping
There are several smaller islands adjacent to Phuket Island, each easily accessible within an hour or two by boat. Many are excellent snorkeling and diving sites. One of the most famous islands off Phuket is James Bond island, after it was featured in the 1974 movie "The Man with the Golden Gun".
It is actually a pair of islands, originally called Khao Phing Kan. Phi Phi islands are another group of stunning islands not to be missed. You will be able to witness fishes swimming in the pristine waters of these islands. Bring some bread to feed them and watch schools of fishes rushing to snatch every piece of bread that you throw into the waters.
8. Water and other sports
With a generous beach front, visitors to Phuket can try their hand at sailing a Hobie Wave, windsurfing, standing on paddle board, kayaking, kiteboarding, diving, and snorkeling, among others. Or, go for bungee jumping, go cart, golf, rollerball zorbing and shooting.
