7 ways Chinese travelers benefit from the US visa extension

3. For Chinese students who study in the US, the new visa policy offers more encouragement for their parents and friends to visit them in the US. Statistics from the Institute of International Education's Open Door report show that Chinese account for about 28 percent of the foreign students studying in the US in 2014, the biggest source of the country's foreign students. Their family and friends now won't worry about renewing their visas and therefore are more likely to visit them every year, which may account for one of the largest increases in the number of Chinese visitors to the US.
