Institute supports quake-struck county

The Confucius Institute at Cleveland State University has held a charity show in aid of survivors of the magnitude-7 earthquake in Lushan county, Sichuan province, on April 20.
All proceeds from the show, attended by 500, will to go to the quake-struck area.
The show featured Andrea Anelli, singer and co-founder of Opera Per Tutti in Cleveland, Zhao Jing and her artist students from South Central University for Nationalities, and Cleveland Chinese Music Ensemble headed by David Badagnani, as well as Zou Chan and Zachary Lynn of Cleveland State University.
Those who attended included Frank Jackson, the Mayor of Cleveland, Dennis Cloug, mayor of the city of Westlake, Dr Ronald Berkman, president of Cleveland State University, and Anthony Yen, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Confucius Institute at the university.
