BUENOS AIRES -- At least one person was killed and 30 others injured in a train collision accident about 25 km west of the Argentine capital in the early hours of Thursday, local media reported.
Initial reports said a passenger train slammed into the rear of another stationary train near the Castelar stop.
Firefighters and rescue crews were working at the scene to pull out the passengers trapped inside the first train while the surrounding area has been closed for traffic.
The collision took place on the Sarmiento line, where a February 2011 train accident killed 51 people.
