Boeing offers condolences over Asiana plane crash

BEIJING - Boeing offered condolences in a statement issued after the Asiana Airlines Flight 214 crashed in San Francisco.

The accident has left two Chinese girls dead and many injured as of late Sunday night Beijing Time, official figures show.

In the statement, Boeing extended its "deepest condolences" to the families and friends of those who perished in the accident in San Francisco, as well as its wishes for the recovery of those injured.

Boeing will join the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board at their request to provide technical assistance to their investigation, the statement said.

A total of 141 Chinese citizens were among the 291 passengers aboard the Asiana flight when it crashed at San Francisco International Airport on Sunday (Beijing time).
