OSLO - Norway has decided to follow the European Union (EU) in imposing sanctions on Russia over the Ukraine crisis, said the Norwegian Foreign Ministry on Friday.
Norway will do exactly the same as the EU when it comes to financial sanctions against Russia, said Norwegian Foreign Minister Boerge Brende.
"This means that a number of key Russian politicians and officials are no longer welcome in Norway, either visiting or passing through. They will not have access to the assets they may have in Norway," said Brende.
The sanction measures will be implemented very quickly, said the Norwegian foreign minister.
