A hepless fox was rescued after getting his head wedged inside a watering can for at least two days. The animal was spotted running around in the back garden of a bungalow in Solihull, near Birmingham. Animal welfare officers believe that the not so wily fox got its head stuck while trying to get at a mouse or frog inside the can. RSPCA officers were called after the agitated fox was seen running around a back garden in distress. With its head firmly stuck in the plastic container, it took two officers half an hour to carefully prise the animal free. Once relieved of its uncomfortable headwear the fox was held using grasper so that it could be given a quick check over. Despite being deprived of food and water for two days the fox was discovered to be fit and healthy and so was released back into the wild. [Photo/icpress.cn] |
