ALGIERS -- China is willing to boost the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Algeria, the new Chinese ambassador to Algeria Yang Guangyu said Monday.
"Chinese President Xi Jinping has expressed his willingness to work with his Algerian counterpart to bring forward the comprehensive strategic partnership, which gets a positive response from President Abdelaziz Bouteflika," Yang said when submitting his credentials to the Algerian president.
The two countries raised the bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership in February this year, the first of its kind among China's relationship with Arab countries.
