The Center for World University Rankings published its 2015 list of top schools recently. The rankings measure the quality of education and training of students, as well as the prestige of the faculty members.
The Center for World University Rankings published its 2015 list of top schools recently. The rankings measure the quality of education and training of students, as well as the prestige of the faculty members.
1.Harvard University: Cambridge, Massachusetts, in the United States. Founded in 1636. More than 21,000 students enrolled as of last year. So far, eight US presidents and more than 100 Nobel Prizewinners studied at this university.
2.Stanford University: San Francisco Bay Area, California, in the US. Founded in 1891. Forbes reported in 2010 that 28 billionaires were trained at the university, hot on the heels of Harvard.
3.Massachusetts Institute of Technology: Cambridge, Massachusetts, in the US. Founded in 1861.Well-known as educating global high-tech elites and cultivating technology pioneers. The institute recruits only 2,000 students a year.
4.University of Cambridge: Cambridge, United Kingdom. Founded in 1209. Many scientists, including Isaac Newton, studied here, and a total of 90Nobel Prizewinners have come from the university.
5.University of Oxford: Oxford, United Kingdom. Founded in 1167. It is the oldest university in all English-speaking countries, as well as the second-oldest educational institution in the world. Adam Smith, writer of The Wealth of Nations, studied here, and 57Nobel Prizewinners.
