What we have obtained so far about missing MS804

PARIS - Here is the information we have obtained so far about the missing EgyptAir MS804:

-- EgyptAir MS804 was scheduled to depart Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 10:45 p.m. Paris time (0845 GMT) on Wednesday May 18 to arrive in Cairo at 03:05 am Cairo time (0105 GMT) on Thursday May 19.

-- Its actual departure time was 11:09 pm (2109 GMT) on Wednesday.

-- The flight was an Airbus 320 manufactured in 2003.

-- The plane was carrying 56 passengers, three security personnel and seven crew members.

-- The captain had 6,275 hours of flying experience, including 2,101 hours on Airbus A320. The co-pilot had logged 2,766 flying hours.

-- Among the 56 passengers were 15 French, 30 Egyptians, two Iraqis, one British, one Belgian, one Portuguese, one Algerian, one Chadian, one Saudi, one Kuwaiti, one Sudanese and one Canadian.

-- Information on the location of the disappearance has been confusing as of now. A source from the Egyptian military said that the location is inside the Greek airspace while EgyptAir announced earlier that the plane was 10 miles (16 km) inside Egyptian airspace when it disappeared from the radar screens.

-- There have no official announcement about the current status of the missing plane nor its whereabouts.
