Bomb disposal officers are in a dangerous profession, operating in a sort of silent battlefield where they have to make quick decisions.
There are several such officers in one armed police unit in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, and they are all expected to be stable, quiet and prudent, with sound judgment - and also have to continue training throughout their careers.
