BEIJING - Hu Jintao said on Thursday that the Communist Party of China (CPC) must strengthen governance capacity and resist corruption.

"All Party members must focus on strengthening the Party's governance capacity, advanced nature and purity," Hu said in his keynote report at the opening of the 18th CPC National Congress. The CPC should become better able to fight corruption, uphold Party integrity and improve Party rules and regulations, he said.
