China shares surge 2.77% on Dec 26

China shares surge 2.77 percent Friday Chinese shares surged for the second consecutive day on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ending at 3,157.60 points, up 2.77 percent.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 10,802.64 points, up 2.94 percent.
Financial companies led gains with Guoyuan Securities, CITICS Securities, Western Securities, Everbright Securities, China Life and New China Life soaring to the daily ceiling of 10 percent.
Trading volume in the Shanghai index reached 488.92 billion yuan ($76.9 billion), and 236.25 billion yuan in Shenzhen index.
The CSI 300 Index rose 3.31 percent to 3,445.84 points.
