Cancer patient, 4, 'marries' favorite nurse
A four-year-old girl battling cancer "married" her favorite nurse in a ceremony complete with wedding cake, candy ring pops, a pink wedding car and an aisle filled with rose petals.
Abby Sayles suffers from leukemia and is undergoing chemotherapy at the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer at Albany Medical Center in New York. She met nurse Matt Hickling while seeking treatment.
The pair developed a deep bond and Abby decided it was time to pop the question. The little girl told her mother that she wanted to marry her favorite nurse. The mother then texted Hickling about her daughter's wish and he obliged.
Hospital staff planned the "wedding" in less than a day and the video of the ceremony, posted on Facebook, has since gone viral.
