47-year-old street cleaner runs 225 kilometers in a day
A street cleaner completed running Chengdu's outer ring road in Sichuan province, covering a total of 225 kilometers within 25 and a half hours, qq.com reported.
Chen Xuejun, 47, a keen amateur runner, said he was inspired by a Beijing man who ran 122km around Beijing's Fifth Ring Road in 14 hours on his birthday in July.
Before facing the challenge, Chen had attempted six field trainings, each lasting over six hours, until he finally set out to conquer the route.
Chen had a team of cardiologists and doctors to give him a check-up every 60 km while he ran round the course.
