An emerging cross-border e-commerce business in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, has launched an online-to-offline platform, focusing on selling imported goods.

The platform, www.circlegz.com, set up by Guangzhou Circle Import and Export E-Commerce Co Ltd, will sell goods to have been imported by the company, which is already the official sales agent for a majority of overseas producers.

The company has also launched an offline shop, with an area of up to 10,000 square meters, to display goods promoted online.

As of the first half of this year, Guangzhou has developed nearly 400 cross-border e-commerce companies, as the city pushes development of a pilot free trade zone in its Nansha district.

Goods sold on the online platform will be tracked with their original information, including place of production and sales authorization forms, said the company.
