Chinese stocks fall Wednesday after strong rallies

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed lower Wednesday after rising for three straight trading days.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.42 percent, or 9.7 points, to close at 2,276.05.
The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.45 percent, or 42.03 points, to finish at 9,239.21.
Chinese stocks soared on the first two trading days this week. On Tuesday, the composite index rose 2.69 percent and the component index jumped 3.75 percent.
