China releases plan to boost ship-building industry

BEIJING - The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Monday released a plan to further strengthen China's ship-building industry during the 2011-2015 period.
The ministry said further development of ship-building industry is vital to enhancing China's comprehensive national strength as well as its better use of marine resources and the security of transportation.
