BEIJING -- An outline to boost innovation in China's cultural and technological sectors has been issued, the Ministry of Science and Technology said Friday.
According to the outline, by 2015, technology should play a more important role in the development of the country's cultural sector, as well as transform the cultural industry into an economic pillar.
By 2020, the cultural and technological industries should achieve deeper integration and technological innovation should become a core value in cultural development, the outline said.
The outline also contains plans for a working mechanism, supportive policies and personnel training for the development of the industries.
The outline was jointly created by six departments, including the MST, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Finance, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, General Administration of Press and Publication, and the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
