SOEs' tax payments up 13.5%

State-owned enterprises administered by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council paid 1.8 trillion yuan ($283.95 billion) in taxes and fees from Jan to July, a 13.5 percent increase as compared with the same period last year, Xinhua reported.
Central SOEs contributed 1.3 trillion yuan of the total, representing a year-on-year increase of 13.8 percent, 4.8 percentage points higher than the country's tax revenue growth rate in the corresponding period.
China's total tax revenue from Jan to July rose 9 percent from last year to 6.4 trillion yuan.
