Farming fair, flower expo opens next month

The 4th Cross-Straits Modern Agricultural Fair & 14th Cross-Straits Flower Expo will open in Zhangzhou city, Fujian province, on Nov 18.
Jointly organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the Fujian provincial government, the eight-day event aims to deepen cross-Straits exchanges and cooperation in agriculture and horticulture.
About 100 Taiwan enterprises will join the fair, exhibiting new machinery and fertilizer, and promoting business.
Research agencies on both sides of the Taiwan Straits have also been invited to join symposiums during the fair, to discuss the development of new technology.
