It was the first time a Chinese clothing company had won the award.
"Collecting this award has given me great pride," said Bosideng Brand Management Director Wang Chenhua. "We hope that by winning Chinese Investor of the Year, Bosideng as a brand will be more recognizable and appealing to customers in the UK."
Bosideng is the first Chinese clothing retailer to launch a flagship store outside the Chinese mainland, opening the doors to its multimillion development just off Oxford Street in central London in July.
Bosideng UK also acts as the brand's European headquarters.
Wayne Zhu, Bosideng UK CEO, said: "We are honored to receive this award from the British Chamber of Commerce in China."
"The brand's expansion into Europe has been hugely significant for Bosideng and Chinese retailers. We're delighted to have been recognized as leading the way for other companies from China that are looking to invest in the UK," Zhu said.
Bosideng was established in China in 1976 by Gao Dekang. Its flagship brand was launched in 1992. So far, it has more than 11,000 retail outlets in China with a portfolio that includes six core brands.
