Microsoft Corp's Windows Phone 8 products are coming to the Chinese market soon, said Ralph Haupter, Microsoft vice-president and the company chairman and CEO in China, on Wednesday.
The company announced its latest smartphone operating system Windows Phone 8 on Oct 29 in the United States. Now it has 40,000 Chinese applications and 120,000 globally.
To compete with Apple Inc's iOS and Google Inc's Android, the company said it will customize applications and products for the Chinese market.
The company introduced its windows phone 7.5 in March to the country. Now China has the most downloaded applications for Microsoft phones globally.
China has become the largest smartphone market globally. In the second quarter this year about 4.44 million smartphones were sold and 388 million Internet users accessed the Internet through cellphones.
