Benxi Iron and Steel (Group) Co Ltd, known as Bengang, said that its export contracts reached 4 million metric tons this year.
Bengang, founded in 1905, is a large State-owned company situated in Benxi, Liaoning province. Its annual steel production capacity is about 20 million tons and last year's sales revenue exceeded 100 billion yuan ($15.91 billion).
Wang Shu, deputy general manager of Bengang, said earlier the company was able to overcome the setback caused by the international financial crisis and the following weak demand.
In recent years, the company has opened offices in South Korea, the United States and in Europe. Its major products include steel for cars and home appliances, high-strength steel, stainless steel and high-end special steel.
The company also said it will step up its overseas marketing network and provide better service for customers at home and abroad.
