Vice-premier to co-chair China-US trade talks

BEIJING - Chinese Vice-Premier Wang Qishan will co-chair the 23rd China-US Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade in Washington from Dec 18 to 19, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said Wednesday.
Wang will co-chair the meeting with US Deputy Secretary of Commerce Rebecca Blank and Trade Representative Ron Kirk, Hong said at a regular daily news briefing.
Established in 1983, the JCCT is a platform for China and the United States to promote trade relations and address issues of mutual concern.
The 22nd China-US JCCT was held in China's southwestern city of Chengdu from Nov 20 to 21, 2011.
