Sany Group Co Ltd, China's largest construction machinery company, will change from a Changsha-registered company to a Beijing-registered firm, according to a meeting brief posted on the company's website on Wednesday.
The briefing of the board of directors meeting said the board members unanimously approved a proposal to re-register the company in Changping, a suburban county of Beijing.
The decision now has to be approved at the shareholders' general meeting, which will be held in January.
The company's decision to move its headquarters to Beijing was first reported by local newspaper Xiaoxiang Morning Herald at the end of November.
The company's office of the board of directors said that nearly 100 employees have moved to Beijing, and that some high-profile executives are already working in the capital.
