Youku Tudou Inc, China’s leading Internet television company, along with Qualcomm Incorporated and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Qualcomm Technologies, have announced a collaboration on H.265 technology to enable a faster video experience.
H.265, often referred to as HEVC codec, will allow viewers mobile access to high quality video content on Youku when using most Qualcomm Snapdragon processor powered devices.
Qualcomm Snapdragon is a product of the US-based technology company. The H.265 technology will enable the transmission of quality video content using less data bandwidth.
