China Vanke half-year sales hit $13.6 billion

China Vanke Co saw sales in the first half of this year hit 83.67 billion yuan ($13.6 billion), a rise of 33.8 percent compared with the same period of last year, according to the company's latest statement.
Vanke is China's largest property developer in terms of sales.
Total floor space sold by the company reached 7.16 million sq m, an increase of 18.9 percent year-on-year.
Vanke maintained its top position with the half-year sales, followed by Greenland Group and China Overseas Land & Investment Ltd, according to the China Real Estate Information Corp, a subsidiary of E-House, a real estate services company.
