Biostime's sales revenue surges

Biostime International Holdings Ltd, the maker of pediatric nutrition and baby care products that is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, increased its sales revenue by more than 51 percent through June compared with the same period last year. Sales reached 2.06 billion yuan ($336 million) and its net profit grew 8.6 percent to 298 million yuan.
Its inventory topped 762 million yuan, surging by 45.6 percent year-on-year. According to the company's semi-annual report released on Tuesday night, its average inventory turnover time increased from 126 days last year to 167 days this year due to stricter quality inspection on imported goods from General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
