Liaoning sees output growth in fishery sector

The fishing industry in Liaoning maintained strong growth in the first three quarters with total output worth 102.81 billion yuan ($16.9 billion), up 12.4 percent year-on-year, according to Liaoning Ocean and Fisheries Bureau.
Besides the growth in total output, fishing added value increased by 10.5 percent, to 50.06 billion yuan, and marine product output rose 6.6 percent, to 3.904 million metric tons, in the first three quarters of 2013.
The fishing output hit 56.42 billion yuan, accounting for more than a half of the total output value of the whole industry. Seaculture products reached 2.214 million metric tons, accounting for 56.7 percent of the total output of marine products.
