BEIJING -- China urged the United States to respect the WTO's latest ruling against US measures on certain Chinese products and rectify its abuse of trade remedy measures, the Ministry of Commerce said late Monday.
The World Trade Organization (WTO) on Monday unveiled the appellate body report concerning US measures on Chinese products, concluding that the countervailing and anti-dumping measures of the United States on 24 kinds of Chinese products between 2006 and 2012 were against WTO rules.
The ministry said in a statement that the case is another victory of China in challenging the US abuse of trade remedy measures with legal weapons.
Chinese products involved in the case have an annual export value of more than $7.2 billion, the statement showed.
"China urges the United States to respect the WTO ruling, rectify its abuse of trade remedy measures as soon as possible to ensure an environment of fair competition for Chinese companies," the ministry said.
