Faku's output makes it major player in ceramics

Faku county has emerged as one of the largest ceramics production centers in North China, according to figures released for the first half of 2014.
The county, in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, has 212 ceramics companies whose output value in the first six months of this year amounted to 28 billion yuan ($4.56 billion).
The ceramics industry in Faku employs 75,000 people and produces a wide range of products, including construction ceramics, household ceramics, and art ceramics.
The revenue from ceramics in 2013 was more than 20 billion yuan, with customers from the Chinese mainland, as well as the United States, Russia, Spain and other countries.
