Cheng Wei, founder and CEO of Didi Chuxing, China's largest ride-hailing service provider, said it was Chinese market's high-speed development that gave birth to Didi Chuxing and China is ahead of the United States and Europe in its new policy on the taxi and online ride-hailing services.

"We believe Chinese online ride-hailing service providers can take a lead in the development of Internet Plus transportation and sharing economy in the world," he said at the Internet Entrepreneurs Forum during the third WIC Friday.

He said as the company's first five-year plan of building itself into the largest ride-hailing service provider run by Chinese in the world has been accomplished, Didi's goal in the next five years is developing itself into a world-class internet company to further promote revolutions in the fields of transportation and internet.
