Resources needed for manufacturing upgrades

More resources will be devoted to developing core industrial components and materials as China upgrades its sprawling manufacturing industry, a new investment guideline said on Friday.

The move is part of the country's broad efforts to help enterprises accelerate technology upgrades.

The guideline was released by China International Engineering Consulting Corp, the largest multi-disciplinary engineering consulting organization in China, and more than 10 industry associations.

Ministry of Industry and Information Technology official Tang Heyi said one of the keys to ensuring stable economic growth is stable investment.
