Top 10 most respected Chinese companies in 2017

Chinese tech giants Alibaba Group Holding Ltd and Baidu Inc were ranked as the first and second most respected companies in China this year, according to a list jointly released by Fortune magazine and Hay Group, a global management consulting firm.

And Chinese home appliances giant Haier Group came on the third place.

The ranking is based on the survey of about 336 companies, mainly those among top 500 companies in China or the world and included well-known Chinese companies as well.

The companies were measured on nine parameters, including management level, product/service quality, innovative capability, financial status, and social responsibility. And 885 out of 38,000 Chinese enterprise managers responded to the survey through internet. The managers were not allowed to vote for their own company.
