Macao CPI up by 1.54% in October

Xinhua | Updated: 2017-11-22 10:37

MACAO - The Composite Consumer Prices Index (CPI) in China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) increased by 1.54 percent year-on-year to 110.03 in October, the SAR's statistics department said on Tuesday.

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the Composite CPI in October this year increased by 1.54 percent year-on-year to 110.03, higher than the 1.39 percent growth in September.

The increment in October was attributable to dearer charges for eating out and outpatient services, rising tuition fees and parking meter rates, as well as higher prices of adults' footwear.

For the 12 months ended October 2017, the average Composite CPI went up by 1.16 percent from the previous period.
