Xi meets Biden at the White House

Washington - Chinese Vice-President Xi Jinping met US Vice-President Joe Bidenat the White House in Washington on Tuesday morning.
Xi hopes to communicate with people from various walks of life in the United States, and enhance mutual understanding and trust.
He said China and the US should strengthen strategic mutual trust through dialogue and communication, expand practical cooperation, and promote the implementation of important consensus reached by President Hu Jintao and President Obama.
We should join hands to face with challenges and promote the China-US cooperative partnership based on mutual respect and mutual benefit,he said.
Biden said on Tuesday that China-US relationship is the most important bilateral relationship in the world.
It is not only very important to China and the US, but also for the whole world, Biden said.
Though China and the US are unable to agree with each other on all of the issues, the two countries have some very important mutual concerns on economy and politics, he said.
He also pointed out the two countries could have frank dialogue about the difference in regard of the maturity of Sino-US relations.
