Broad money supply will increase by 14 percent, higher than the actual growth of broad money supply of 13.6 percent in 2011 but lower than the projection of 16 percent in the 2011 government report.

Total import and export volume will rise by 10 percent and the balance of international payments will continue to improve.

The monitoring of PM2.5 – polluting particulate matters smaller than 2.5 microns in diameters – is included in the government work report for the first time. Wen stressed that China will never seek economic growth at the expenses of ecological environment and people's health.

Seven million units of more affordable housing will be built to drive the steady growth of the economy while allowing housing prices to drop to an appropriate level.

·1.2 trillion

The central government will allocate more than 1.2 trillion yuan to invest in agriculture, farmers and rural areas.
