XI'AN - Suspected food poisoning sickened more than 50 students Friday morning in Northwest China's Shaanxi province, local authorities said.
A total of 54 students in the Huangpu Center Primary School in Hujiamiao township of Chunhua county suffered from stomaches, dizziness and vomiting after eating breakfast at school, according to the county government.
Thirty-seven students were hospitalized and less than 10 have since been discharged, according to an official with the local government.
Unclean food is suspected the cause of the accident, he said.
