Man killed himself with poisoned dart
A man in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, killed himself with a poisoned dart he had made to steal dogs from villagers.
Police received a report from local farmers on the morning of April 2 that a man was found dead on a rural road. Doctors determined the man died of cyanide poisoning. The villagers told police that they saw the man fall from a motorcycle as another man drove it away.
Police later found two bags containing two dead dogs and some darts.
During the investigation, police found the man who drove the motorcycle away and learned that the two men came from Chongqing and that morning poached dogs in the village.

Beggar's heroic deed gets fitting reward
A 31-year-old disabled beggar is attending a primary school in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, because he wants to receive an education.
Li Xiaohui, who has polio and cannot stand on his feet, came to Zhoushan from his hometown in Suzhou, Anhui province, to beg for money. On Dec 5, Li saw a man standing at the top of a tall building, threatening to commit suicide. Li persuaded the man to come down.
Local media and residents were moved by his heroic actions. After Spring Festival, Li was invited to study at a primary school for migrant children.

Farmer donates money to build schools
A 75-year-old farmer has donated all of his money to build schools in his hometown of Yantai, Shandong province.
Since 2006, Sun Maowen, who lives in Shanghai with his children, has donated around 1.4 million yuan ($222,100) to the schools and children in his hometown.
Sun lives a very simple life and hopes his donations can help more children living in rural areas attend school. Sun also hopes that more people will help poor children.
