BEIJING - Chinese Vice-President Xi Jinping has urged the Communist Party of China (CPC) organs at all levels to better serve grassroots people.
Xi made the remark at a meeting held on Monday in Beijing for research on maintaining the Party's advanced nature, in which Party organs should improve grassroots CPC members' ability to serve the people.
The Party's 90-year history proves that only by keeping and developing the Party's advanced nature and purity can the Party gain popularity among the people, said Xi, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
Party organs at all levels should enhance education for Party members to solidify their belief in communism and socialism with Chinese characteristics, and enhance organization construction in grassroots organs, he said.
Party organs at all levels should also establish a long-term mechanism to contact and serve the people, as well as solve problems for the people with stricter self-discipline, Xi said.
